Sapphire kneeling
person-shaped pei-pendant Shang Dynasty (16th century-11st century B.C.) Unearthed at Anyang, Henan Height: 5.6cm Width: 2.8cm The jade was unearthed at the Fuhao tomb of the Yin ruins. Fuhao was the wife of King Wuding of the Shang Dynasty. A hole was drilled under the neck of the jade person, through which a cord can be threaded for wearing. |
