这儿的执壶和盆作为成套餐饮用具中的一部分,通体刻星星花纹,口沿刻花边,把手结合处刻流苏纹样。这样的花纹组合体现了新古典主义(星星花纹)和洛可可晚期风格(流苏纹样)两个元素。

Purchased in 1941 at the auction Zd.Je?ábek, Prague

The pitcher and lavabo used to form a part of a multi-piece ensemble with a unified decoration of stars and an ornamental border along the rims and a lambrequin where the handle is attached to the body. The decorative scheme combines elements of Neoclassicism (stars) and Late Rococo (lambrequin).

1906年布拉格的沃伊切克·兰尼捐赠

钻石点刻和琢磨技术于17世纪引入荷兰。18世纪海牙、鹿特丹和阿姆斯特丹的雕刻大师们使用这一技术琢磨英国进口铅玻璃以获得精美的图案效果。

Colourless glass, diamond-stippled; H. 15 cm

Donated in 1906 by Vojtěch Lanna, Prague

Diamond-point engraving and stippling were introduced in the Netherlands in the 17th century. Executed on imported English lead glass, these delicate designs were created by master engravers who were active in The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam in the 18th century.
