The L?tz glassworks in Klostermühle (Klá?tersky Mlyn) in the ?umava region was founded in 1836 and abolished in 1939. It briefly re-opened after World War II, but was definitely closed in 1947. Internationally, its products rank among the much-admired treasures of Art Nouveau glassware. This glass had already won high acclaim at the time of its creation at the turn of the century; many pieces received the Grand Prix at the World’s Fair held in Paris in 1900.
