The excavation of Yangshao site in 1921 marks the birth of Chinese modern archaeology, and also by this excavation China’s first archaeological culture - Yangshao culture was uncovered and named.With continuous explorations in the last one hundred years, it shows that Yangshao culture, an significant representative of early Yellow River culture, is the main root of Chinese ancient civilization and also serves as the key to explore the diversity and integration of Chinese civilization.
