The opening ceremony of the First Central China International Ceramics Biennale was held in Henan Museum grandly on Dec. 9, 2016.This exhibit was hosted by Henan Museum. And it was Jointly organized by the International Ceramic Society, Central Academy of Fine Arts and Jingdezhen Ceramic University.
The exhibition aim is to show these characteristics: taking the road of cultural innovation, highlighting the international, artistic, academic, forward-looking, showing the essence of the traditional ceramic art and the world of contemporary exquisite ceramic technology, leading the advanced technology and cutting-edge art, focusing on the relationship between ceramics and public life, inspiring people's enthusiasm for cultural and creative, promoting the exchange and cooperation with the artists and ceramic major producing countries of the world, creating a new field for the development of Chinese traditional museums, and promoting the development and innovation of the ceramic industry and ceramic culture of the Central Plains.
The biennale exhibition included one main exhibition (Cont(r)act Earth) and the other three parallel exhibitions. During the exhibition, there will be one Film Week of the International Ceramic, one High-end Forums, several arts forum conferences from all over the world and some other related social education activities.Totally the major exhibition presented over 500 ceramic artworks from about 20 countries and regions.
Central China International Ceramics Biennale opened from Dec.9, 2016 to Mar. 12, 2017.The exhibition will last for three month. Especially visitors can go to the museum with a perfect instrument freely.
