The senior citizens’ athletic meeting of the Cultural Department of Henan province was held in Henan Museum square on Oct. 19, 2009. It was just for celebrating the 60th anniversary of the founding of  People's Republic of China.

  

Yang Liping, the top leader of the Cultural Department of Henan province and some other officials appeared the opening ceremony. At the same time, there were more than 700 old people took part in the sports meet.

At the sports meet, there were about 11 sports items. It covered about shooting baskets, throwing darts, slowly running bicycles and so on.

This was the 21st sports meet of the Cultural Department of Henan province. It has been held once  a year since 1989. That was a very good activity for the old people and was welcomed greatly by them.
